30 Weeks

How far along? 30 freakin weeks
Total weight gain? Still about 20 lbs...

Maternity clothes? You bet
Stretch marks? Still not yet. It feels like there should be though
Sleep? My nights consist of getting  up to pee every few hours with violent leg cramps in between. BUT... it could be worse.
Best moment of the week? These past couple of days she has been kicking or moving or something that it's actually starting to hurt a little bit. But it's really cool...
Movement?  See "Best moment of the week"
Food cravings? Not really any cravings... but beef jerky and special k protein bars have really helped this crazy third trimester nausesa crap.
Belly button in or out? It's in but puckering, its so creepy even Travis refuses to look at it.
Wedding ring on or off? On on on...it's getting tighter but I think thats because it is 100 degrees outside right now and the air conditioning at my work sucks.
Happy or Moody? Happy except between the hours of 1-6 and then most days from 6:30-10:30 too.. the work schedule is seriously taking away from my lounging and crocheting time.
Weekly wisdom? If you are like me and you feel a little sick on your way to the gym there is a huge possibility you will feel way worse after you leave. No matter how many things you read or how many people tell you that exercise will make you feel better. But still try to exercise as much as possible.
Looking forward to? The next 10 or so weeks flying by like the rest of this pregnancy has.

We took Travis' new ride for a little cruise on Sunday to see how it would handle the mountain.  I got this picture of baby's first mountain trip and it may be my all time favorite picture right now.

28 Weeks

Welcome to the third trimester!

I was very warmly welcomed into this trimester with more nausea and morning sickness-like symptoms than I have had during this whole pregnancy. I thought that part was over... Then as I searched the forums and googles I found that it is not that uncommon to begin feeling sick again in the home stretch but this time you get to have the sickness mixed with swollen feet, visits to the bathroom every 45 minutes, back-aches, fatigue and a missing belly button. Luckily I really don't have that list of symptoms, except my belly button has almost disappeared and it is freaking me out.

How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain? About 20 lbs... I am still trying to get used to this belly. I often think I can fit in smaller passageways than I can. For example, at the gym in the cardio section there are spaces between some of the machines. I used to be able to walk through those spaces if I turned sideways. I found out last week that I can no longer do that. That was embarrassing.

Maternity clothes? Stretchy comfy skirts, long shirts and whenever I am not at the bank, basketball shorts. To be honest though just the underwears are not too shabby... it's a good thing we don't get many visitors at our house.
Stretch marks? Not yet... hopefully never.
Sleep? Not bad.
Best moment of the week? Hitting the third trimester mark.
Movement?  She moves...but I have no idea what her schedule is. She is hardly ever active at the same time two days in a row. I suppose you could say our baby does what she wants when she wants.
Food cravings? Travis introduced me to DQ crispy chicken salads. There is nothing special about them but I am in love. Fortunately they are a little more healthy than the chicken baskets.
Belly button in or out? Creepily on its way out, hopefully it just stays where it is.
Wedding ring on or off? On and loose. My fingers must be losing weight while the rest of me is gaining.
Happy or Moody? Happy, happy, happy. Although I did cry at the doctor yesterday when she said she could tell I didn't feel good... that was weird.
Weekly wisdom? Protein shakes are awesome for appetite-less days, or days you don't have other sources of protein. I couldn't gag a protein shake down in my first trimester but recently they have been saving me big time.

Looking forward to? Getting the baby's room together. We are moving in a week and can finally start the shopping!

23 Weeks

This is what I look like when I'm 23 weeks pregnant and standing in the bathroom at my work.
It's kind of awkward for me to take pictures of myself. Or have someone else do it... so...whatev.

I've been feeling pretty good lately. The occasional crappy hour...or day... but things have been great.

One of my co-workers called this dress a "jumper" today. I don't know if I should be offended or embarrassed.

22W2D

Some days work is really boring.

So I take creep shots like this one.

There is really a baby in there!

Halfsies

20 weeks. I can't believe it. That's half way! Having the first 4 weeks go by without knowing I was pregnant was awesome and I figured the rest of the time would drag on. But it really has gone by quick and I definitely have had some freak outs thinking we need everything ready to go now. We need to read all the baby reads and learn all there is to learn, and we need to do it now!  Luckily I have a sane husband and my brain can bounce back after either he or the reasonable part of me calm me down.

Sorry no pictures this week... Soon though.

how far along: 20 weeks
total weight gain: About 10 lbs... when I try to get up off the couch, though, it feels like 100.
maternity clothes: My mom gave me some really cute shirts for my bday and I'm in the market for some comfy stretchy skirts. My dress pants and jeans that still fit are becoming less and less desirable with each passing day.
stretch marks: No. I'm hoping it will stay that way.
sleep: My body loves going to sleep at 9 and sleeping peacefully until about 2. Then it's another story for the rest of the night.
best moment this week: Probably my mom coming to my work today. 1. It is rare that someone comes in that actually I like. So that was nice. 2. She was asking for my keys so she could put all the baby stuff she had just bought in my car.  Best mom, what?
miss anything:  I wouldn't be mad if laying on my stomach and back were acceptable and comfortable again
movement: Plenty of it. It is thee coolest feeling.
food cravings: Grilled Cheese has been the big one for the last couple weeks. But I don't know
anything making you queasy or sick: Not eating. It's like a baby needs nutrients to grow or something... psh.
gender: Girl girl girl.
symptoms: Just a little nausea here and there. Oh and my back....it sometimes hates me.
belly button in or out: In and stretching sideways...its weird.
happy or moody most of the time: The pattern goes; happy, happy, happy, scared and repeat.
looking forward to: Actually making all the projects I plan on making for this little girl

Birthday

Yesterday was my 24th birthday and I didn't really care about that. I had something much more exciting on my mind than celebrating the day I was born.

Our first ultrasound! We got to see the baby and pretend like we could tell what was going on for most of it. But for the parts of it that made sense where we could actually tell what we were looking at it was amazing.

We are having a thumb sucking, head shaking, wiggly little GIRL.

I can't stop looking at the pictures of her.

Hands down best birthday so far.

It even tops the b-day when I got my first car...

Seventeen

Baby Dulaney is doing great this week.

I'm starting to show pretty good which I like and dislike. Here's why
Like: It's looking less like a family bag of burgers and more like a real baby.
Dislike: My balance. I used to be kind of coordinated but in my old age it has diminished a bit and even more in my pregnancy.

Like: I think people at work will respect me a little more. There are two older ladies who are tellers and two younger ones. Us younger ones don't get respected nearly as much as the older ones... so maybe when they see I'm housing another human in my body they will be a little nicer to me.
Dislike: I do not like to be touched by strangers or even acquaintances. But I'm pretty sure that many people think a baby in the belly is a fine excuse to ignore the rules of personal space. Or common decency.

Like: I'm just assuming that the bigger it gets the more real it will seem. I sometimes forget there is a baby in there, or just feel like it's something that is in there forever now... not a growing baby that will come out eventually.
Dislike: Any type of waddle-walk this bump will cause.

Like: I feel more justified in wearing my sweats any time I am not at work.
Dislike: Buying new clothes. I already bought a 10 pairs of a size too small of garments in December and I figured they would be okay... every day I become more and more aware how not okay it is.

Since I'm writing this at work this is the best updated picture I can give you...

The baby loves wearing my name tag

Also...
Birthday shout out to my mom. Happy 40th! I still can't believe how well you have turned out for starting to have kids at age 10!

16 Weeks

Plenty has changed in the past seven days for baby d ... like eyes and ears moving and muscles and bones are growing. The process of a baby growing is more amazing than I ever realized. However, I don't feel much different this week from last, which leaves me with not much to write.

So here is something

Just like me, my family is quite anxious to find out the gender...especially my mom. I had an appointment this morning and may have tricked her.

She didn't appreciate it.

Fifteen

Here we are fifteen weeks into this... It feels like its dragging! But not really because fifteen weeks is a long time. That's 105 days. It only took 105 days for the baby to grow to the size of an orange (or an apple, whatever your personal fruit preference.) I have seen this little pregnancy questionnaire on a few different blogs and thought all you readers might like it.
how far along? 15 weeks
total weight gain: Last time I went to the doctor it was 0, but since then I have rediscovered my love for DQ chicken baskets... so it could be a little more now.
maternity clothes? I'm dreading it. I don't even know how to shop for regular clothes, now I have to find special ones?
stretch marks? I can not even imagine those... hopefully it stays that way.
sleep:  I have been having the craziest dreams. Lots of mean people with guns that never seem to run out of ammo.
best moment this week: Probably Sunday when I was in a dress and Travis says "I can see the baby! That is a good dress for pregnancy." I guess its starting to look more like a real bump and less like a food baby.
miss anything? Pastry Pub! Turkey on a cheese bagel with herb sauce... I just drooled. Who knew about the whole lunch meat being off limits thing?
movement: They say sometimes first time pregnant folk mistake baby movement for gas rumbling around in there. I have been feeling strange things going on...I think in my case it really is gas rumbles though.
food cravings: Chips and salsa. But I've been craving those for about 20 years now.
anything making you queasy or sick: Mostly just smells these days. It doesn't really make me queasy though, just mad.
gender: No idea.
symptoms: Just my super human smelling strength. And headaches. But I'm not complaining as long as the nausea stays away.
belly button in or out? In and if it ever comes out I will be creeeeped.
happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy. Why wouldn't I be? WE'RE HAVING A BABY!
looking forward to: Finding out the gender. I am really tired of calling it it or baby or s/he

and here's a picture of me after work today...

14 Weeks

According to babycenter.com baby Dulaney can now squint, frown, grimace and pee. The peeing thing kind of creeps me out, but I guess everybody needs to start somewhere.

The baby center also says that our baby measures 3 1/2 inches from top to bottom which is about the size of a lemon and weighs 1 1/2 ounces. This could be completely inaccurate since all babies are different and I haven't seen mine yet, but websites like this are helpful in making me feel like I know what is going on in there.

This past week I have felt much better, not much nausea, but another symptom has hit.  Or at least I'm blaming it on the pregnancy. Crochety, irritable, perma-peev-ed-ness. It is mostly when I am at work. Because I mostly deal with people or situations I don't want to when I'm at work.

Things that bug and all occur at work are; powerful smells, the sound of nails being filed and people who ask me about my pregnancy Only so they can tell me about theirs.

This ghetto up close and mirror picture is from last week, and I don't think I'm supposed to be showing yet so I started a poll on the side of the blog here and you can vote. Do you think this is a real baby bump or a food baby?

Announcement?

I don't know who knows and who doesn't know because I recently found out how awkward I feel telling people I'm pregnant. Who knows why...
But here you go! I'm 13 WEEKS.

Estimated Due Date: September 10, 2013
I know anyone who is reading this is DYING for an update. So here you go.

-I have felt nauseous for about 9 weeks now but only thrown up twice. Whoop.

-Many people who I have actually told have replied "I was wondering that! But I didn't want to ask" What does that mean? One of my closest friends who said this was the only person that I didn't feel weird about her saying it. Because we hardly see each other and I've probably been hinting via text... aka "I'm sick feel bad for me." But all of the other people like.. my visiting teachers  that said it had to be speaking purely about my appearance because I really don't talk to them about anything. So... am I fat already? I guess.
-I thought I would continue being fit and lifting weights through the whole pregnancy and be like this lady. But that proved to be so much harder than she makes it seem.  The last couple of months I mostly go to the gym and park it on a stationary bike with the 90 year olds. And they pedal faster than me.

That's all for now. I'm planning on weekly updates... we'll see how that works out.

Oh and Travis is really excited to share his favorite hobby with baby Dulaney:
