Thankful Thursday

My parents deserve a lot of credit for putting up with me through my darker stages of life, the middle school angst, the hormonal teenage years and the post teenage "what am I doing with my life, I hate everything" phase. I mean, they deserve a LOT of credit for that.

Mom and Dad, thanks for not shanking me.

But this Thankful Thursday post is dedicated to someone else who deserves praise for his patience and tolerance with me. One Mr Travis Kyle Dulaney.

*Possible Mush Alert*

I'm not the easiest person to live with. I have had some small freak outs about marriage, living in a tiny smelly old house, graduating college and feeling useless, being pregnant and scared out of my mind and plenty others. I also get frustrated with life and work and like to share every small detail about those frustrations with Travis.  And there are many other less than desirable quirks I have.

Not all days, but some days I feel like pregnancy takes that middle school angst, the teenage hormones and every bit of anxiety or frustration I've ever experienced and mashes it all together in one ball and then throws it in my face. I may sound a little over dramatic and that's probably because I am being over dramatic. But that's just the way it is.

Somehow Travis deals with all of that and still loves me. He is the most kind, patient and loving person I have ever met.  He only acts annoyed with me when I am being annoying, but never on multiple other occassions when he could be justified in doing so.  I have never heard him raise his voice or get angry (except for that one time he yelled at those guys on bullet bikes.) He does anything he can to make me happy. He works so hard all day every day and is still willing to cook dinner when I ... uh ... don't.  Just by how much he loves and cares about me I know he is going to be the best dad to our kids.

I don't ever feel like I deserve someone who treats me so well but I am thankful every day that my HF blessed me with Travis.

*Mush Ended*

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

No baby update this week. I feel like it would have been a redundant post so this week is a Thankful Thursday instead. I know you have all missed them since the days of It Just Is.

There is plenty to be thankful for right now so here's a few:

- The little person that will be joining our family in a few months. Obviously that makes the list.

- The weather. It's okay that it was snowing yesterday, because it is all melted and sunny today.

- Lemongrass essential oil. There is this cool new thing happening to me. I call it "racne", and that's about the only detail you need to be able to figure out what it is. I've always had zits on my face but never really any other place until now. So I don't know if its the pregnant thing or what but racne has come into my life and lemongrass mixed with almond oil for the carrier is definitely bringing improvement to this ailment.

- My job. Anyone who has talked to me in the last nine months about my job will be suprised this is on my thankful list. But it is nice to have a little extra money to save. And it's not the worst job... except when it is.

- Summer vacation.  It's in 53 days and I love counting down to it.

- Travis Kyle Dulaney. Wow. These last few months have been the laziest and whiniest of my life and he gets to be affected by this more than anyone else. He is so so so so so so so so good to me. Definitely thankful for him.

That's good enough for now. Happy Thankful Thursday!

Thankful Thursday: List

We can forget to be thankful, and especially not on Thursdays.

This week I am thankful for:

The temple. I got the sweet privilege to become an endowed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints two years ago. It does not seem like it has been that long but it has and its awesome.  I love going every week (or as close to that as we can). I loved the few months I got to work there and cant wait to do that again someday. I love feeling the spirit there. I love everything about it. So yeah, pretty thankful we have a temple so close.

The job I started about a month ago. I am trying harder not to complain about it and just keep remembering that it is temporary.  But while I'm writing about it I might as well tell you about my most recent found dislike.  When someone is smoking in their car while filling out a deposit slip and then sends the tube in, I open it and get attacked with the nasty tube smell mixed with smoke. Its the worst smell, of all smells. Also, the fact that Travis has a good job is something to be thankful for.

My new calling. I cant tell you what it is, because its not official yet. And even though for the past two months I've been saying to Travis "I hope they dont call me to that" I'm glad they did. And I know that I'm supposed to have that calling even though I dont want it.

Our house. It is so ghetto. The outside is so scary. The inside has some issues. But it is so cute and tiny and cozy and fun. The rent is cheap and we can basically do whatever we want to the inside.  I will never ever take a bath in our tub, but I will be thankful for this house.

Rice bags. 'nuf said.

I think that's good for now.

Oh and the X-Large t-shirt that says "OCamada" that I'm supposed to wear to work today with dress pants. That will look real good.
